What connects you to a place? Is it the number of times you visit? The people we meet?

Can we lose a connection once it is made? Like losing touch with a friend who was once so dear to you…

This place is a dear friend. Everything i thought i knew about them was wrong. When we met in 2013, i saw a side to them i wasn’t expecting. They spoke to me in a way i didn’t think they would.

Now we know each other intimately. You were there when i got engaged. We have lost mutual friends. Together we have shared moments that will live long in the memory.

Is it possible to never understand what connects you to a place? Does it matter?

I know we cant grow old together, but we will always have a connection.
